Casey’s Honey Spice Steak
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/3 cup lime juice
- 3 tblsp. canola oil
- 3 tblsp. yellow mustard
- 6 garlic cloves minced
- Grated lime peel from 1 lime
- 1 jalapeño pepper deseeded and sliced thin
- ½ tsp. cayenne pepper
- ½ tsp. salt.
- ½ tsp. black pepper
- ¼ cup chopped cilantro
- 1 ½ - 2 lb. lean top steak or London broil
Preparation
- Combine all ingredients except for meat into bowl and whisk together.
- Pound steak and pierce with fork.
- Add marinade and steak in resealable bag and combine thoroughly.
- Place in refrigerator and let marinate at least 4 hours, ideally overnight.
- Cook over medium high heat using grill pan, outside grill or broiler, cook meat 3-5 minutes per side for medium rare, more for desired temperature.
- Slice thinly against grain.
- Squirt with lime wedges before serving.
